Cartier Wind Energy is a Longueuil-based company established in 2004 as a partnership between TransCanada Corporation and Innergex Renewable Energy. They are involved in the development, ownership, and operation of wind farms in Quebec, with a focus on delivering power under contracts with Hydro-Québec. The company has built multiple wind farms in the Gaspé Peninsula and is committed to promoting renewable energy in the region. Despite a cancelled project in Les Méchins, Cartier Wind Energy continues to play a significant role in the Quebec wind energy sector.
